If you are facing divorce and have done your research, you probably realize how expensive divorce can be. Not only are you charged for your attorney’s time spent engaging in the actual legal work, but it is also common practice for you to be charged for travel time to go to hearings, mediation sessions, or Collaborative Divorce meetings at the lawyer’s regular hourly rate. Further, firms that practice mainly in person incur additional expenses including leasing larger office space, renting additional equipment, and purchasing additional office snacks, drinks, and supplies. And, of course, those expenses get passed on to you, the client.
But what if you were comfortable working with your lawyer through Zoom, telephone calls, e-mails, and other virtual means, and you did not feel the need to meet in person? Since it ends up costing less for the law firm, shouldn’t you get a discount for virtual divorce legal services?
Shouldn’t You Get A Discount For Virtual Divorce Legal Services?
Yes, we think so. And that is why we offer a $25 per hour discount for any family law or mediation service that we provide virtually (not in person), including 1-hour consultations. This can result in hundreds of dollars in savings, if not more, over the course of your divorce.
Prior to the pandemic, relatively few people were familiar or comfortable with videoconferencing and other technologies, but in the last few years, many folks have become used to and, in fact, prefer this way of doing business. This way, you can deal with all of the challenging issues that come with divorce with the peace of mind of having an attorney on your side but not having to leave the privacy of your own home.
And you get a discount in the process. We save money, and so we figure you should save money, too.
But what if you do want to meet your lawyer in person?
What If You Want To Meet Your Lawyer In Person?
No problem! We do that, too. We have offices to meet by appointment in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota, and we just charge our normal hourly rate.
And so whether you would prefer more traditional in-person services or are open to virtual divorce legal or mediation services, we can help. In fact, with our virtual services, we are able to accept clients from around the State of Florida, no matter where you are located.
