Jennifer Gunnin – Executive Paralegal Profile
Representing Clients Virtually Throughout Florida, with Offices in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota
Jennifer Gunnin has been with Family Diplomacy: A Collaborative Law Firm since 2013. She graduated from Hillsborough Community College with an Associates’ Degree in Paralegal Studies in 2015. In 2019, Jennifer was recognized by the Florida Bar as a Florida Registered Paralegal. In 2024, Jennifer was promoted to Executive Paralegal and works hand-in-hand with clients as they traverse the challenges of family law.
Collaborative Divorce Paralegal
Jennifer has attended an Introductory Interdisciplinary Collaborative Family Law Training that meets the standards of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals to better understand the Collaborative Divorce Process and assist clients going through it. She wrote an article titled “Working with a Peacemaking Collaborative Attorney” published in The World of Collaborative Practice Magazine, describing her experience assisting clients side-by-side with Adam B. Cordover and at a Collaborative Law firm. In the article, she explains how Collaborative Practice treats families as a unit rather than as enemies, keeps matters out of court, and aims for solutions that benefit the family and don’t leave one spouse feeling as if he or she has lost.
Jennifer had the opportunity to serve as faculty in the first Collaborative Staff training hosted by Joryn Jenkins. She led a session on ethics for other paralegals and administrative professionals and later wrote an article about the experience published on Joryn Jenkins’ website.
Trained Paralegal Divorce Mediator
In 2024, Jennifer completed the Mediation Training Network’s 40-hour mediation training course. She looks forward to using this training to help assist more families in resolving their issues in a non-adversarial, out-of-court dispute resolution process. Beginning in August 2024, clients may choose her as their paralegal mediator to assist them through divorce and other family law matters.
A Kind, Empathetic, Responsive Paralegal
Jennifer is known for her kind, empathetic, responsive nature and attention to detail. Our clients appreciate this in a time when they are feeling anxious and need a person in the office they feel they can count on, or talk to without feeling embarrassed or judged about what they are feeling and what is going on in their lives. This is a very private and sensitive time for people, and it’s extremely important to this firm to be mindful of that with every client, every day.
Family Diplomacy practices exclusively in out-of-court dispute resolution. The firm accepts family law matters from throughout the State of Florida and has offices in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota. You can learn more by clicking the button below.
