You may periodically hear on NPR that “Family Diplomacy: A Collaborative Law Firm reminds you that divorce need not be destructive.  More information about collaborative divorce can be found at (813) 443-0615 or FamilyDiplomacy.com.”

Collaborative divorce is a non-adversarial, private form of dispute resolution where the parties agree that their attorneys will only be used to help the reach an agreement outside of court.  Collaborative attorneys are contractually-barred from engaging in painful, costly, and public litigation.  A facilitator, who generally has a mental health license, is oftentimes utilized to ensure that the parties focus on what is most important to them (such as their children) rather than the arguments of the past, and a neutral financial professional is oftentimes used to cut costs on financial disclosure and ensure the parties have a personally-tailored financial solution.

Family Diplomacy supports the mission of WUSF:

WUSF Public Media’s mission is to provide meaningful and relevant content that enhances our community’s quality of life.

The high quality programming we provide has been a valuable resource in our community for 50 years. We are committed to providing creative, entertaining, responsive, educational and trustworthy programming and dedicated to serving our listeners and viewers for years to come.

WUSF 89.7 is west central Florida’s NPR station and broadcasts local, statewide and national news, and all night jazz.
