From the Conference Website:

The theme of the conference is All the Pieces Matter: Getting the Most Out of Your Team.

Teamwork is the bedrock of the Collaborative Process. Building the right team to lead divorcing clients through difficult decision-making is critical to the success of the Collaborative matter. This year’s conference will look at how teamwork can make the impossible come true. We will share with our FACP membership unique techniques, experiences, protocols and methods colleagues and Collaborative leaders have created and applied, which have promoted more successful divorce outcomes in their Collaborative matters.

Collaborative Mediation: Engaging Mediators in the Collaborative Process

There are a lot of great workshop offerings at this year’s conference.  I am excited to be co-presenting with Keith Grossman, president of the Collaborative Professionals of Southwest Florida (Naples/Fort Myers) and a Florida Supreme Court approved Primary Mediation Trainer, and Heather McArthur, founder and president of the Collaborative Professionals’ Association of Central Florida (Lakeland) and Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator.  Our workshop is Collaborative Mediation: Engaging Mediators in the Collaborative Process.  Here is the description:

Do mediators have a place in the Collaborative Process? What is Collaborative Mediation, and is it even a form of Collaborative Practice? Can mediators be the generators of Collaborative matters? In this cutting-edge and interactive workshop, we will seek to define Collaborative Mediation, demonstrate how mediators can have a role on the Collaborative team from the very beginning of the case, and explore how mediators can control their own destiny by creating Collaborative cases.

We Hope to See You There

The Conference will be taking place a the Boca Raton Marriot at Boca Center.  It is just a fantastic opportunity for professionals to increase your knowledge and skills about Collaborative Divorce, meet other people who are passionate about helping Florida’s families in a better way, and show your support for the organization that was instrumental in passing Florida’s Collaborative Law Process Act.  And, once again, remember to sign up prior to March 8, 2024 to receive the early bird rate.
