Transgender Child Name Change Review - Family Diplomacy | A Collaborative Law Firm

Client Review: Name Change for Transgender Child

April 5, 2023/in Family Lawyer Reviews / Testimonials, Legal Name Change, LGBT Family Law Matters //Tags: change of name, Florida name change, name change, Tampa Bay Name Change Attorney, transgender family law rights, transgender name change, transgender rightsby Adam

We feel so fortunate when our clients take the time to let others know about the services we offer.  A client recently left a review on Family Diplomacy’s St. Petersburg Google Review Page to discuss how we helped his family achieve a legal name change for his transgender child.

As I am required to state by the Florida Bar, please note that we cannot guarantee the same or similar results in your matter, but we welcome you to contact us to learn more.

Below is the text of the review:

We retained Family Diplomacy for assistance with changing our transgender child’s legal name to the name that they have been using for a few years now. Given the political climate in Florida these days, we thought it best to not try to go through the process on our own.

From the very beginning our child’s name choice was respected. Every conversation had with anyone from Family Diplomacy, they made sure that my child was always referred to with the correct name and pronouns. They diligently walked us through the process, prepared all the required paperwork for the courts, made sure that my wife and I were kept up to date with the progress and always made sure we knew what the next step would be.

When it came time to go before the judge in Pasco County (over the phone thankfully as we are far far away right now) everything went as smooth as could be. I credit this to the hard work and professionalism of our attorney and the team. The judge even commented on how everything was just as it should be.

I do not foresee the need to ever need legal representation in Florida again, as we are on our way out, permanently, but if I do, I would retain Family Diplomacy again without a moment of hesitation and will always recommend them to anyone in the area that needs legal council.

If you want to learn more about legal name changes for you or your transgender child or about your other LGBTQ family law rights, we invite you to reach out to us.
